POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic Staff Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of our Service Cloud platform while driving organizational transformation through agile practices and change management. This role combines deep technical architecture expertise with program management, agile leadership, and product management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will serve as both a technical visionary and execution leader, ensuring our Salesforce solutions align with business objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and user adoption across the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Solution Architecture (30%)
- Design comprehensive end-to-end Service Cloud technical architecture supporting scalability, performance, and business growth
- Define and implement integration strategies with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, and third-party applications
- Establish robust scalability and performance frameworks to support large data volumes and high user concurrency
- Create and maintain technical standards, best practices, and architectural governance frameworks
- Review, evaluate, and approve complex technical solutions ensuring alignment with architectural principles
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on platform optimization and modernization
Program Management (25%)
Own and drive the Service Cloud roadmap development, including strategic initiatives and platform evolutionCoordinate complex cross-functional project delivery involving development, QA, business analysis, and operations teamsManage stakeholder expectations through regular communication, status reporting, and executive presentationsDrive portfolio prioritization and resource allocation decisions based on business value and technical complexityEnsure program delivery alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget constraintsEstablish governance processes for project intake, prioritization, and delivery managementAgile Leadership / Scrum Master (20%)
Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviewsIdentify and proactively remove blockers to optimize team velocity and delivery efficiencyCoach development teams and stakeholders on agile best practices and continuous improvement methodologiesManage sprint planning activities, capacity planning, and backlog refinement sessionsFoster a collaborative, continuous improvement culture focused on delivering business valueImplement agile metrics and reporting to track team performance and identify improvement opportunitiesTechnical Product Management (15%)
Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical solutions and implementation strategiesOwn and manage the technical product backlog, ensuring features are properly prioritized and definedCollaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and end users on requirements gatheringDefine comprehensive acceptance criteria, success metrics, and testing strategies for new featuresManage technical debt reduction initiatives and platform optimization effortsBalance feature development with platform maintenance and performance optimization needsChange Management (10%)
Design and execute comprehensive user adoption and training strategies for new platform capabilitiesLead organizational change initiatives supporting digital transformation and process optimizationCommunicate technical changes and platform updates to business stakeholders in accessible languageEnsure smooth rollout of new capabilities through phased deployment and user support strategiesMonitor and measure adoption success through metrics, user feedback, and performance indicatorsDevelop change management playbooks and best practices for future platform enhancementsQUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field10+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 4 years in solution architecture or techno-functional leadership rolesKnowledge about business architecture, tool rationalizationProven experience in program management and cross-functional project leadershipCertified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certificationStrong background in Service Cloud implementation and optimizationExperience with enterprise system integration and API managementExcellent communication and presentation skills for executive and technical audiencesPreferred
Salesforce certifications including Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App BuilderProject Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent program management certificationExperience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or other Salesforce productsBackground in change management methodologies and organizational transformationPrevious consulting or client-facing experience in solution architectureKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Technical Architecture
Deep expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Lightning PlatformAdvanced understanding of system integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and enterprise architecture principlesStrong knowledge of data architecture, security models, and scalability considerations for large-scale implementationsUnderstanding of performance optimization, capacity planning, and system monitoring practicesKnowledge of emerging technologies and their application to Salesforce platform evolutionProgram and Project Management
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs with competing priorities and dependenciesExperience with portfolio management, resource allocation, and strategic roadmap developmentStrong skills in stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional collaborationAbility to translate business strategy into technical execution plans and delivery roadmapsExperience with budget management, vendor coordination, and contract oversightKnowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesAgile Leadership and Coaching
