Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hematology and Oncology NP in California!

About The Position

We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 260-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Nov 3, 2025. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with daytime hours and the opportunity to work independently within a collaborative outpatient team environment.

  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, either 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM or 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Function as an independent provider within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting
  • Manage comprehensive care for both new patient consultations and follow-up appointments
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and symptom management
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic medical records
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical judgment and strong problem-solving skills

    • Additional Information

  • At least one year of Hematology / Oncology experience preferred; strong candidates with a passion for the field will be considered
  • Must hold a valid and unrestricted California NP license
  • Required education : Masters, DNP, or PhD in Nursing
  • Current National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Furnishing license required
  • Must obtain DEA license within 3 months of starting
