Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all process, utility equipment, and building infrastructure related to manufacturing operations. This role supports production reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Responsibilities
Support installation, qualification, and operation of new device assembly and fill processing equipment.
Assist in creating preventive maintenance (PM) procedures, spare parts list, and updating spares management databases.
Perform systematic preventive maintenance following industry best practices.
Diagnose and perform quick, effective repairs as needed.
Communicate repair and PM status updates with Maintenance and Operations Leaders.
Utilize electronic work order and calibration databases to document all maintenance activities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support Solutions' high-performance standards.
Education & Experience
Required : High School Diploma or GED.
Experience : 3 5 years in a pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing maintenance role.
Experience with electronic work order, preventive maintenance, and spare parts management systems.
Skills & Knowledge
Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-based control systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Skilled in the use of multimeters, temperature probes, pneumatic calibrators, and other test instruments.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, system diagrams, and wiring schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or vocational certification in a related technical field.
Experience performing maintenance and repair on industrial machinery and utility systems.
Ability to safely handle chemicals and monitor production support systems (e.g., boilers).
Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including kneeling, crawling, overhead work, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Experience operating industrial equipment safely in dynamic environments.
