Lead Engineer I, ITOM Discovery & Service Mapping

Join KPMG US as a Lead Engineer I in our Digital Nexus technology organization, focusing on IT Operations Management (ITOM) discovery and service mapping. This hybrid role enables you to support and enhance ServiceNow-based discovery and mapping capabilities while collaborating with cross?functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support, enhance, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping capabilities to ensure accurate infrastructure and application service data.
• Host discovery workshops and design sessions to clarify requirements for new technology components and integration into existing discovery capabilities.
• Execute deep technical configuration and scripting for ServiceNow ITOM, including discovery patterns, schedules, probes, sensors, and MID Server troubleshooting.
• Ensure efficient reconciliation and prevent CI duplication through effective identifiers and data policies such as the Identification Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
• Lead the build?out, attestation, refinement, and troubleshooting of Service Maps to ensure accurate representation of IT services.
• Perform regular health checks and operational reviews of Service Maps and Discovery error trackers to identify and remediate incomplete mappings, broken dependencies, or other discrepancies.
