About the Role
As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional support and service to our customers. You will be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and upgrading Applied Materials equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and addressing high-value technical issues. Key Responsibilities :
Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment effectively.
Utilize diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and troubleshoot technical issues, seeking guidance from more experienced engineers when necessary.
Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers and customers to understand project roadmaps, process flows, and business challenges.
Train and mentor junior Field Service Engineers to foster skill development and teamwork.
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems including electrical, mechanical, vacuum, plasma, hydraulic, and gas.
Engage with customers directly for coordination and effective communication of service needs.
Perform additional duties as required by the role.
Minimum Qualifications :
Associates degree, military technical training, or relevant trade certification.
4-7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or equipment support field.
Proven mechanical aptitude with systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
Solid understanding of hand tools and their usage, including digital multimeters.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for travel as needed.
Must meet all on-site safety, environmental guidelines, and COVID-19 protocols.
Physical Requirements :
This role often requires prolonged walking, standing, and working in tight spaces. Candidates must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and distinguish colors while working safely with electricity. You will utilize personal protective equipment while working in clean room environments, including coveralls, gloves, and safety glasses.
Compensation :
The salary range is $37.00 - $51.15 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is offered, along with eligibility for bonus and stock award programs.
This position may require travel 20% of the time.
