The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and motivating diverse project teams across all phases of
Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies , ensuring delivery of high-value projects for internal and external stakeholders.
Project Management Responsibilities :
Project Coordination & Team Leadership
- Coordinate vendors, consultants, IT staff, and business personnel during IT project execution and related procurements.
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams to establish project plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in team development; hold teams accountable; identify and remove obstacles.
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, including executive leadership, sponsors, vendors, suppliers, and technology partners.
- Promote a positive, collaborative project culture.
Project Planning & Execution
Oversee the development of proposals, SOWs, statements of requirements, and RFP responses.Execute and manage daily project activities as needed.Set goals aligned with technical objectives and overall strategy.Collaborate with technology leads and solution architects to integrate best practices.Tracking, Reporting, & Governance
Track and communicate project progress related to schedule, cost, scope, and risk.Drive consistent project delivery throughout the project lifecycle, including procurement execution, project planning, resource allocation, risk and scope management, and transition to operations.Monitor vendor performance using defined metrics.Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, task lists, risks, and status reporting.Adhere to defined project management methodologies and governance requirements.Additional Responsibilities
Provide leadership on cloud-hosted SaaS implementation initiatives.Lead teams through business / technical requirement discovery and documentation processes.Apply strong decision-making, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Blend Agile and Waterfall methodologies appropriately to meet project and business needs.Apply process engineering and re-engineering practices.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Required Skills
Strong experience managing cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects .Expertise in documenting business and technical requirements for RFPs and SOWs.Exceptional communication skills for multiple audience levels.Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.Solid understanding of SDLC models.Deep knowledge of Agile and Waterfall principles and practical hybrid application.Ability to balance quality, scope, schedule, and cost.Ability to lead change and drive adoption of new systems and processes.Ability to analyze and document complex system processes.Demonstrated ability to communicate expectations and timelines clearly.Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Experience working with enterprise technology portfolio or governance systems.Experience working with PMO methodologies and standards.Knowledge of IT procurement processes (RFP, statewide contracts, and SOW processes).Qualifications
PMP Certification through PMI (required).Minimum 10 years ' experience managing large-scale projects.Minimum 15 years overall IT experience.Proficiency with Project Management tools : Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office applications.Bachelor's degree required.#CB #DICE
