Respiratory Therapist (RT) Job Details
Louisville, KY
Day and Night shift $30 / hr
Temp with intent to hire
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Requirements
Current Respiratory Therapist License issued from the state
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) credential issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
BLS and ACLS Certification required
About the Respiratory Therapist (RT) Role
Administer safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician
Monitor mechanical ventilation and administer medications
Conduct patient assessments and understand hemodynamic monitoring and blood work results
Provide patient education, training, and support
Collaborate with another Respiratory Therapist and care for 12-16 respiratory patients on the unit
Perform ABG draws regularly and follow unit protocols
Assist with procedures and transport of patients within the hospital
