- Adhere to established nursing standards and implement facility policies.\n
- Effectively communicate policies to staff, residents, and families.\n
- Monitor compliance with regulations and report any issues promptly.\n
- Conduct regular patient rounds and oversee nursing assistants and LPNs, taking necessary corrective actions.\n
- Provide clinical supervision and assess patient data collected by LPNs.\n
- Perform and document comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.\n
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and policy.\n
- Document patient interactions, including medications administered, treatment effectiveness, and changes in status.\n
- Participate in the evaluation process of nursing assistants.\n
- Ensure the maintenance of emergency equipment and adherence to safety protocols.\n
- Foster a collaborative team environment and support new staff and residents.\n
- Chaperone patients during appointments and certain examinations as needed.\n\nQualifications : \n
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Science is preferred.\n
- At least one year of experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing is preferred.\n
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.\n
