Medical / Surgical Registered Nurse

• Adhere to established nursing standards and implement facility policies.\n
• Effectively communicate policies to staff, residents, and families.\n
• Monitor compliance with regulations and report any issues promptly.\n
• Conduct regular patient rounds and oversee nursing assistants and LPNs, taking necessary corrective actions.\n
• Provide clinical supervision and assess patient data collected by LPNs.\n
• Perform and document comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.\n
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and policy.\n
• Document patient interactions, including medications administered, treatment effectiveness, and changes in status.\n
• Participate in the evaluation process of nursing assistants.\n
• Ensure the maintenance of emergency equipment and adherence to safety protocols.\n
• Foster a collaborative team environment and support new staff and residents.\n
• Chaperone patients during appointments and certain examinations as needed.\n\nQualifications : \n
• A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Science is preferred.\n
• At least one year of experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing is preferred.\n
• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.\n
