American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a day shift position requiring a Maine or compact RN license and current certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital settingPrimary shift is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, with additional third shifts during the weekCare for patient populations across all age groupsExposure to emergent cases and a variety of acute medical situationsProvide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, discharge planning, medication administration, and patient / family educationActively participate in emergency / disaster preparedness and drills as neededCollaborate with the multidisciplinary team on patient care and participate in bedside roundingMaintain a safe physical environment and ensure readiness of supplies and equipmentQuality improvement involvement and support of organizational excellence initiativesReport to Human Resources on day one for onsite onboardingScrub or dress code requirements will be provided during onboarding\n \n Requirements\n
Active Maine or compact RN license requiredCurrent certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALSMinimum of 2 years recent emergency department nursing experience requiredAbility to perform all physical tasks associated with acute care nursing, including lifting up to 30 lbs and transporting patientsImmunization requirements include varicella, HepB (or declination), MMR, Tdap, PPD (2-step or titer within past 12 months), and seasonal flu vaccination\n Benefits\n
