About The Position

Emergency Department RN

LOCATION - Alamogordo, NM

SHIFT : MULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE (in-time can vary from 3pm - 7pm)

START : ASAP

REQUIRED :

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• Current PALS certification from AHA required
• Current TNCC certification required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• Type of patients : clinic type patients to strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, BH, and all things ED.

Weekend Requirement

6 weekend days worked per 6 week s

On Call Requirement

2 on call shifts are required per 6 weeks. Call can be for. emergencies or extra shift if there is a need

Floating Requirement / Locations

Floating may be asked but unlikely due to census.

Nurse / Patient Ratio

1 : 4-5

Summary :

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
