Remote Inpatient Medical Coder
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inpatient (Hospital) medical coding.
- Proficiency in assigning ICD-10-CM / PCS codes for inpatient diagnoses and procedures.
- Familiarity with CPT codes.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Description :
- Review and analyze inpatient medical records to ensure accurate coding.
- Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with federal coding rules and guidelines.
