Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for Materials Team Lead to contribute to the development and execution material movement within the warehouse and production including accuracy systematically in the ERP system and physically in the warehouse and production operation to ensure overall inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills, and will play a pivotal role in shaping and operating PDW's manufacturing material operations by establishing foundational processes and systems enabling growth and scale.
What You'll Do
- Oversee, support, and coordinate kitting materials for work orders to support production in a multi-assembly operation
- Oversee, support, and coordinate repacking incoming materials and material storage organization
- Coordination of cycle counting maintaining accurate inventory and transactions
- Demonstrate a high proficiency with company's ERP system (NetSuite) for kitting, receiving, and work order transactions
- Collaboration with external and internal vendors to resolve paperwork discrepancies to support work order transactions and receiving process with an advanced understanding of ERP with an emphasis on material movement and consumption.
- Coordination of cycle counting maintaining accurate inventory and transactions with ability to analyze material discrepancies and resolve in ERP system with root cause analysis along with critical thinking skills when problem solving inventory accuracy issues
- Partner closely with Quality Assurance for incoming inspection scheduling and coordination and participation in the Material Review Board (MRB) and dispositioning of material
- Support identification of planning risks such as shortages or schedule delays to ensure an accurate Clear To Build signal and elevate as required
- Actively identify continuous process improvement opportunities to enhance speed, accuracy, and compliance in in the materials management process
Requirements
1 - 3+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or materials management.Familiarity with ERP systems; NetSuite WMS experience is highly preferred.Demonstrated reliability, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to solving problems.Experience leading or coordinating material movement teams is a plus.Basic understanding of materials control, inventory movement, and cycle count processesStrong attention to detail and commitment to inventory and system accuracyPreferred experience with operating forklift and certificationPreferred
Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and reporting tools tracking materials metrics with improvement management through daily focusExperience with governmental inventory and manufacturing standards and operations (DoD preferred)Physical Requirements
