Overview
Shive-Hattery's Industrial Architectural Studio has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Process Architect with 10+ years of experience in the business development, design, and leadership of architectural projects. This position is expected to sit in our Cedar Rapids office and offers career-growth opportunities, collaboration in a team-oriented culture, and opportunities to expand expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and project management with design discussions, idea generation, collaboration, and design work in drawing, modeling, and 3D image formats.
- Direct non-licensed and other professionals assigned to design, produce, and coordinate the design process and technical documents.
- Attend project and client meetings with design professionals for business development opportunities and for projects under contract.
- Develop technical design solutions.
- Assist with design presentation development.
Qualifications / Requirements
Lead architectural design and project management for industrial projects; ability to support work with clients across other sectors served by Shive-Hattery.Experience in business development, winning work, and leading project teams through all design phases.Excellent communication skills; strong critical and creative thinking related to design and the design process.Knowledge of programming, planning, building materials systems and performance; understanding of architectural specifications, international building codes, life safety, ADA requirements, and Factory Mutual design guide requirements.Leadership of project stakeholder engagement sessions with owners and users.Self-motivation and ability to problem-solve independently while collaborating across project teams and disciplines.Familiarity with industrial process documentation and developing designs that support functional and efficient spaces.Licensed Architect is a requirement; accredited professional degree (Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture) or equivalent experience.Applicants should Submit
