Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor holds a central position in ensuring the smooth functioning of manufacturing operations, with a core emphasis on orchestrating and guiding daily tasks to achieve production objectives.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this pivotal role entails overseeing personnel, coordinating production schedules, resolving quality concerns, and nurturing an environment characterized by safety and productivity.

Focus :

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Manage daily production schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet customer demands and production targets.
• Communicate maintenance issues to the Production Manager and Maintenance Department for timely resolution.
• Address quality concerns and product functionality issues during production and inspection processes.
• Monitor material usage and waste, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.
• Complete detailed production reports, including daily shift summaries and data entry of completed production.
• Oversee basic human resource duties such as timekeeping, vacation approvals, and employee evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, promoting a culture of workplace safety.
• Collaborate with other departments to satisfy customer needs and resolve production- related issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager or other appropriate management personnel.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Skill Set :

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience within a fast-paced manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask in a dynamic environment is essential.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
• Proficiency in basic math and reading skills, as well as basic computer skills, is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
