We are seeking a compassionate, attentive, and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for infants and a strong understanding of early developmental milestones. This role requires someone who is committed to creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where babies can thrive emotionally, physically, and cognitively.
Responsibilities :
- Provide responsive and individualized care for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months.
- Create and maintain a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes development through age-appropriate activities and interactions.
- Follow each childs individual schedule for feeding, diapering, and napping.
- Foster trusting relationships with children and families through daily communication and regular updates.
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, feeding, diapering logs, and developmental observations.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and center staff to implement curriculum and daily routines.
- Sanitize toys, equipment, and surfaces regularly in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies are followed at all times.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and milestones.
- Support transitions between classroom activities and routines with patience and predictability.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting strongly preferred.
- Must meet state licensing requirements for infant teachers (e.g., CPR / First Aid certification, background checks, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of infant development and best practices in early care and education.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, sit on the floor, and be active throughout the day.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to fostering a caring learning environment.
Work Environment :
- Classroom setting with regular exposure to noise, cleaning products, and diapering situations.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, and engaging in play and movement activities with infants.
