General Description
The primary responsibility is to create product components while working with the Cross-Functional Team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Component modeling
- Update and create drawings
- Create Engineering Change data
- Upload / download customer’s data into Team Center
- Expand on engineering terminology and lighting manufacturing / tooling processes
- Participate in product design reviews
- Attend customer meetings with Program Engineer or Program Manager
- Direct less experienced designers
- Possibly working on-site with customer stylist
- Implement SL design standards and best practices in designs
- Domestic and International travel required as needed
Job Requirements
Work Experience :
1. 10+ years of automotive product design experience
2. 5+ years of exterior lighting design experience
Education :
Associates in Product Design or similar discipline or equivalent experience
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in MS Office products
- Strong UG or CATIA knowledge
- Automotive knowledge
- Plastic component experience
- Product knowledge
- Completed a course in GD&T a plus
- Team Center knowledge a plus
