Senior Accountant

Our consumer products client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis! Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this individual will ensure accurate and timely financial records, oversee daily accounting activities, and directly supervise Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise AR and AP staff, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, and payment processing

Review and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly

Prepare and post journal entries as needed

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Assist with year-end audits and prepare required documentation

Maintain organized accounting records in accordance with company policies and GAAP

Leverage the ERP system (Acumatica preferred) and Excel to drive operational efficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field ???????

Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Acumatica strongly preferred

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis)

Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and optimize systems
