Director, Benefits
Reporting to the VP, Total Rewards, the Director, Benefits will partner closely with internal and external partners to deliver comprehensive analyses of progressive, market competitive and business aligned strategies to support associates' overall well-being, attract, retain and motivate outstanding talent, and contribute to the organization's inclusive and diverse culture. You will drive and influence the development and execution of Family Dollar's benefits strategy as a recognized leading expert and internal thought leader on all elements of benefits including healthcare, life, disability and leave programs, 401(k) and Roth, and other voluntary benefits. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and project-planning skills that compliments a long-term vision of the company's benefits objectives. They will provide insightful guidance to the Benefits team and make substantial contributions that will improve efficiencies and deliverables across the organization, improving associates understanding and engagement with the benefits program offered to them.
Responsibilities :
Experience Required :
10+ years' experience in strategy development and plan design, competitive marketing and negotiations, implementation, and management of a variety of benefits programs and processes including medical, Rx, dental, vision, life, disability, leaves, wellness, 401(k) and deferred compensation plans. (Preferably in Retail sector or other multi-state / multi-location industry)
Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee benefits (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADAAA, 409A, and other Federal and State mandated requirements including reporting and disclosures).
Advanced proficiency using tools and various data management systems (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint, Lawson, Benefitfocus or similar administration platform)
Experience managing and enhancing HR / Benefits technology including process efficiency, automation, HCM transformation / implementation
Experience managing and leading through transformation and change; PROSCI change management (ADKAR method) certification a plus
Excellent project management skills.
Experience leading team of managers, analysts, and associates
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or CEBS preferred
Pay Rate : $169,500k-$187,500k - based on experience + bonus + Equity + The company offers Health, Dental, & Vision, flexible spending account, life and disability insurance benefits, 401k plan, 4 weeks of PTO & 7 paid holidays annually
