Job Title : OR Nurse (RN)

Shift Information : 7 am to 7 : 30 pm, full time and part time opportunities available

As the Operating Room (OR) Nurse, you are responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Other duties you would be responsible for as the OR Nurse include but are not limited to :

• Deliver exceptional nursing care by assessing patient status and considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural factors, developing patient care plans, and implementing clinical nursing interventions consistent with the plan.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the surgical process.
• Assist interdisciplinary team in pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
• Proficiently operate and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring their proper functioning during procedures.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and concisely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
• May be required to perform limited laboratory services.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to other members of the patient care team.
• May complete other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

Required Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Nurses hired without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year and completion within 3 years.
• Current New Jersey RN license or current multi-state license required.
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency in clinical applications preferred.
• Medical / Surgical and operating room experience preferred.
• CNOR (certified nurse-operating room / certified perioperative nurse certification) preferred.
