Project Engineer - Position and Responsibilities

As a Structural Project Engineer (PE) with Middough, you will be responsible for directing a large single discipline or small / medium multi-discipline engineering design team throughout the entire project cycle from initial concept through successful completion. The PE will also manage the organization, control, integration, and completion of a design only project or the design portion of a design / construct project to ensure goals / objectives are met in accordance with the scope, budget, and schedule per the terms of the contract.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical and management interface on assigned projects.
• Develop and monitor project engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts including Middough Work Process tools.
• Apply technical knowledge and awareness of design details to recognize technical problems in assigned disciplines and initiate appropriate corrective actions as needed.
• Review project / engineering deliverables for compliance with accepted engineering principles, company standards and customer contract specifications.
• Designate responsibilities for phases of a project and establishes scope of authority to the project team.
• Develop and maintain monthly project status reports and execute engineering change authorizations as required.
• Work directly with client to market, scope, estimate and execute single and multi-discipline consulting work on a continuous basis.
• Coordinate and assist with Asset Integrity Inspection projects.
