The K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics ( https : / / bioacoustics.cornell.edu ) seeks an innovative Research Associate to conduct research in Marine Conservation Bioacoustics and Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS). This position will be pivotal in advancing our abilities to monitor and conserve marine ecosystems, particularly through the development and application of DAS and Machine Learning technologies. The successful candidate will drive and oversee innovative interdisciplinary projects, secure funding, mentor early-career researchers, and contribute to the academic and scientific leadership of the Yang Center.

APPOINTMENT :
This is a full-time, 1-year position, renewable annually for an additional two years pending renewable funding, available work, and successful performance.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED :
Will supervise postdoctoral researchers, and graduate / undergraduate students.
