Job Overview :
This role involves implementing and maintaining the smooth operation and physical design of databases. Responsibilities include :
- Reviewing database design and integration of systems
- Providing backup recovery and recommending enhancements / improvements
- Maintaining security and integrity controls
- Formulating policies, procedures, and standards related to database management
- Monitoring transaction activity and utilization
- Database loading, development, and management of operational procedures
- Environment management, including proactive and reactive responses to database health issues
- Resource planning, database upgrade planning, backup and recovery strategy planning and implementation
- Environment transition planning (development, test, stage, production)
Specific responsibilities for this position include :
Supporting Post Production Programs for the OASAS sustainment database by coordinating changes as required by the program and customer.Coordinating with multiple disciplines on the program in developing program-specific requirements through working groups.Serving as the program point of contact with the customer as well as the LMMFC IT department.Communicating requirements to the IT department for implementation.Ensuring database functionality is sufficient to meet program and customer needs through validation testing of changes.Basic Qualifications :
Database design and development experienceKnowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (C, C++, Visual Basic, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TeamsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to develop positive relationships with others on the teamBachelors degree in a related disciplineAbility to obtain Secret clearanceDesired Skills :
