Internship Opportunity In Product Development
Product Development is a team within the Health Plan Business Product Development and Commercial Markets organization. Product Developers are responsible for researching, designing, and implementing solutions for complex product and program offerings and making recommendations to senior leadership that address strategic initiatives for all commercial insured and self-funded accounts. The purpose of these solutions is to enhance member experience, improve clinical outcomes and / or result in cost-savings while enhancing quality of care.
To meet evolving healthcare market demands, the intern will support the plan, design and development of new and innovative products and business opportunities from conceptualization to product launch. Examples of past solutions include family building, menopause, cancer care navigation, wellness, diabetes management and musculoskeletal product offerings.
Conduct primary and secondary research regarding competitor's strategies, market opportunities, and product trends and summarize findings to leadership. Assist in performing build vs. buy analyses, assist in conducting Requests for Proposals and developing contracts with vendors. Develop business cases outlining the value for each product and program offering to the corporation and our customers. This includes assisting in the development of logic models, cost models and value propositions. Identify performance metrics and success criteria for reporting to ensure product goals are achieved. Provide input into marketing and sales strategies. Ensure that the development of product and program solutions is consistent with the intended design and strategy during business requirement setting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the implementation of new products offerings, certificate and rider development, launch, communication and training requirements.

Preference given to students pursuing a graduate degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Health Administration, Social Work, Health Economics and Health Informatics.
