About The Position

Job Title : Infusion RN

Experience : Minimum 2 years in specialty required

License : Must have CA license in hand upon submission

Certifications : BLS, Chemo certification (ONS) required

Must-Have :

• Ability to access and manage ports
• Experience with administering chemotherapy
• Knowledge of patient education and support

Description :

Infusion RN for outpatient oncology infusion center.

Day shift with five 8-hour shifts required.

EPIC documentation experience preferred.

First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

No holiday requests will be accepted.

Certifications in BLS and chemotherapy (ONS) must be in hand.

Experienced in managing side effects and providing care for patients with various types of cancer.

Skilled in administration of chemotherapy, including continuous infusion and IV push.

Capable of recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values.

Familiar with accessing ports and caring for central lines.

Knowledgeable in handling cytotoxic spills and monitoring chemotherapy.

Experience with oral administration of chemotherapy is preferred.

Skills in intravenous hydration and managing PICC lines are important.

Ability to educate patients and families about treatment options and symptom management is essential.

Experience with advanced directives and hospice care is a plus.

Familiarity with acute tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, and sepsis is preferred.

Skills in managing discomfort such as nausea, diarrhea, and neuropathy are necessary.

Candidates must possess effective communication skills for collaborating with the healthcare team.

Clinical staff must have the flu vaccine or a signed declination form during flu season.

This position requires adherence to all organizational policies and procedures.
