PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,900.00-$123,200.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $78,400.00 - $145,800.
00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training.
Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant.
Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE :
As a Compliance Program Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing Compliance Management Systems Programs of the Credit Union with particular emphasis on the Compliance Programs for Fair and Responsible Lending ( Fair Lending );
Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP); and Complaint Management. This role involves educating Credit Union employees on matters related to compliance programs and responding to compliance questions related to the programs.
The Compliance Program Manager maintains a thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations to effectively research, prepare, implement, maintain, develop, and document the Credit Union’s compliance practices for compliance programs.
Additionally, this role involves managing consumer complaints and other communications from federal and state entities, and from other entities that facilitate consumer complaints.
The Compliance Program Manager researches and responds to these communications. The Compliance Program Manager is responsible to prepare accurate reporting on the effectiveness of compliance programs for the Enterprise Compliance Department, business units, Compliance Committee, Executive Management, and the Board of Directors.
WHAT YOU’LL DO :
Research, Analyze, and Interpret : Dive into the intricacies of laws and regulations, and present your findings in a clear and actionable manner.
Conduct Fair Lending and UDAAP analyses across different product lines and Credit Union activities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and to meet regulator best practice standards for such analyses.
Compliance : Evaluate our policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the ever-changing regulatory landscape, using risk assessments and ongoing monitoring.
Review complaints and inquiries related to compliance programs. Work with stakeholders to identify and document the potential risk of consumer harm, Compliance Management System deficiencies, root cause analysis, and any remediation plans.
- Risk Assessments : Collaborate with management and staff to resolve compliance issues and actively contribute to user acceptance testing phases of projects.
- Compliance Support : Guide our teams in implementing new products, services, and practices in compliance with the program.
- Administer Compliance Monitoring : Oversee and lead compliance monitoring efforts, providing guidance on remediation plans to address any deficiencies identified.
- Program Training : Contribute to building a comprehensive training program, tailored to employees’ job functions to ensure effective compliance education.
- Vendor Management : Research and document compliance requirements as related to the program for the Credit Union’s vendors through the Vendor Management contracting process and periodically review vendor compliance through participation in Vendor Management Risk Assessments.
- Information Sharing with Regulatory Agencies : Provide all requested information to federal and state regulatory agencies, internal audit, external audit agencies, consultants, and law firms and attorneys;
manage and coordinate the research, remediation, and response to examination findings or matters requiring attention.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience at a financial institution or regulatory agency, proven project implementation and risk assessment capabilities, and demonstrated proficiency in analytical and drafting skills.
- Experience in project implementation and risk assessment.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and ensure staff / member-related issues are resolved in a consistent and equitable manner.
- Demonstrates organizational skills, ensuring efficient workflow and resource management, while consistently completing tasks and meeting deadlines to uphold reliability and time management proficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at learning new software to effectively summarize and present data
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with implementing or significantly contributing to a Fair Lending and UDAAP program, with specific experience in consumer financial products and services.
- Experience with geographic and demographic (i.e., redlining ) analysis for financial institutions.
- CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) or NCCO (National Association of National Credit Union Certified Compliance Officer) designation.
- Experience with research, legal analysis, and report formatting.
