Responsibilities Work in the float pool across Med / Surg and Telemetry units Float assignments may be required at any facility within a 60-mile radius or designated float zone The patient population consists of adult medical and surgical patients, including those on telemetry 12-hour night shifts with a schedule of 3 shifts per week Uses Epic EMR for charting; experience preferred Must demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection Accountable for collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes Flu vaccination is required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31); medical exemptions allowed with physician documentation, no religious exemptions Not open to local candidates within a 60-mile radius Expected to educate patients and families, and adapt care to cultural and individual needs Delegation to non-RN staff is in accordance with state and hospital policies Works within an interdisciplinary team and may precept or mentor new staff or students Requirements Active CO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred At least one year of relevant RN experience preferred Must reside more than 60 miles from assignment location Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627615.
