Senior Account Manager, Fragrance
We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our growing fragrance company. This is a high-impact, strategic role for a proven sales leader with extensive experience and existing relationships in the beauty and fragrance industry. This role is for an ambitious, high-energy leader who is ready to take our brand to the next level on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Manage the 360 sales process from lead generation, lead qualification, closing the account, ordering, invoicing, logistics, customer success- everything from pre-launch to post-launch and success of the account.
- Drive new business growth by identifying, prospecting, and securing new department stores, major retailers, and international accounts.
- Take charge of the forecasting process, collecting and critically analyzing forecasts from agents against historical data and product potential to make sure they are accurate and on time.
- Monitor monthly activities, from sales reports and payment collection to tracking leftover inventory, and alert management to any potential budget overruns.
- Act as a General Manager for your portfolio of key accounts, overseeing all aspects of the business from sell-in to sell-out and profitability.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to meet and exceed ambitious sales, market share, and profitability targets.
- Negotiate and secure prime space and brand positioning within retail environments, ensuring a strong and consistent brand image.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, buyers, and brand teams, establishing yourself as a trusted business partner.
- Lead and motivate sales and brand ambassador teams (internal and through distributors / agents) to ensure proper execution of business plans and a deep understanding of our brand.
- Conduct compelling product presentations and trainings for retailers and staff to drive sell-through.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, operations, and product development to align on brand strategy and ensure seamless execution.
- Gather, analyze, and leverage qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., market trends, competitor activity, inventory levels) to inform strategy and optimize performance.
- Travel as needed to attend trade shows, key meetings, and support account activations.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7-10 years of high-level sales and business development experience within the beauty or fragrance industry.Proven track record of building and managing a portfolio of accounts with a focus on profitability and market share growth.Existing relationships with buyers and decision-makers at major department stores, retailers, and international distributors.Extensive experience with international clientele and market dynamics.Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze and manage a business to achieve profitability goals.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Highly self-disciplined, results-driven, and able to adapt to different cultures and business environments.Experience working with Salesforce would be a plus.Preferred Experience
