2026 Learning & Development Summer Internship - USWM
The 2026 program is based in Minneapolis, MN and runs from June 01, 2026 - August 14, 2026. We are actively seeking interns to support our Training & Development team in the PCG Field Advancement business within RBC Wealth Management - U.S. Our program provides students the opportunity to gain in-depth, hands-on experience while working and learning alongside our experienced financial services professionals. Our program includes learning sessions, social outings, volunteer work, career development, networking opportunities, exposure to executive leadership and more.
Interns will support the Practice Management and Teams (PM&T) and Training and Development (TD) team that are part of Field Advancement for RBC Wealth Management-U.S. Private Client Group (PCG). PM&T is responsible for helping financial advisor practices maximize their potential by providing coaching and solutions about strategies for growth, behavioral finance, teaming, book segmentation, client conversation starters, and many other topics. TD is responsible for helping new Associate Financial Advisors, Branch Directors, Client Associates, and Investment Associates onboard and develop in their roles. TD also supports those interested in completing a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification. Additionally, TD includes a sub-team of Instructional Designers responsible for everything from e-Learning course design to website development and job aids. Both groups host virtual and live training programs throughout the year, which interns will have the opportunity to support day-of execution and attend to observe.
Interns will support full-time employees in accomplishing tasks and projects. Interns will participate in a group intern project for the chance to present their idea / solution to senior leaders. Program and Project Support Provide support and verification functions across both teams and key projects that may include the following tasks. Provide fresh perspective on existing documentation and projects. Work with subject matters experts to determine need for new and refreshed information on internal websites. Review and develop an Excel metrics tracking spreadsheet. Review existing content to ensure all interactions are functioning as expected. Document components of existing eLearning courses.
Undergraduate student (completed sophomore level or higher) in a related major or Graduate student with a declared major in business or a related field Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to be a team player as well as work independently Demonstrated proficiencies with written and verbal communication skills Ability to work 40 hours per week in the Minneapolis, MN for the duration of the internship.
