As a Security Professional - Residential Site - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential apartment communities, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the location. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service to residents and visitors. You will play a key part in fostering a welcoming environment, upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and reliability while supporting the community's security-related needs.

Monday 09 : 30 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Tuesday 09 : 30 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Friday 09 : 30 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Saturday 09 : 30 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sunday 09 : 30 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or disturbances.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to residents and guests.
  • Document incidents and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including monitoring entry and exit points as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and local authorities as necessary to address security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and / or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
