  • Location : Shelby, NC 28150 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)\n
  • Setting : Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Unit\n
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 8 / 25 / 2025 – End : 11 / 22 / 2025)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), 36 hours / week\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay : $1780 - $1910\n
  • Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend\n
  • Holiday Expectations : Work 75% of holidays during contract\n
  • Floating : Required within region and scope of practice\n
  • Scrub Color : Green, hospital issued\n
  • Parking : Free\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (LDRP proficiency required)\n
  • Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state (RN jobs in NC)\n
  • BLS, ACLS, EFM, and NRP certifications required\n
  • Strong labor management skills : cesarean section circulation, triage, pre-op, PACU, and newborn resuscitation\n
  • Experience with Pitocin and epidural management\n
  • Ability and willingness to float to other healthcare facilities within the region\n
  • Epic EMR experience preferred\n
  • First-time travel nurses not accepted\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care for laboring mothers and newborns in an LDRP setting\n
  • Manage labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care for 4–6 patients per shift\n
  • Circulate for cesarean sections and assist in pre-op and PACU\n
  • Perform triage and newborn resuscitation as needed\n
  • Administer and monitor Pitocin and epidural procedures\n
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams\n
  • Float to other units or facilities within the region as required\n
  • Document patient care using Epic EMR\n
