As a Toolmaker / Machinist II, you will develop, modify, and repair precision tools including jigs, fixtures, and complex dies that support punching, piercing, shearing, and forming a wide range of metals. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced skills in toolmaking and problem solving while contributing directly to the quality and efficiency of our products. Responsibilities may evolve based on project needs and business priorities, giving you the chance to expand your expertise and take on new challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Exercise accuracy and skill as you work from plans such as drawings, sketches, instructions, and blueprints.Setup and operate :Manual and CNC Vertical Milling MachinesManual and CNC Press BrakesManual Metal / Engine LathesManual Surface GrindersManual Vertical and Horizontal BandsawsUse precision measuring tools and equipment such as :Dial and Digital CalipersInside, Outside, and Depth MicrometersHeight GaugeSquares, Straight Edges, Etc.Calculate proper feed rates and chip load speeds for various cutters and material typesOrganize and maintain toolroom material and hardware inventory as necessary to effectively support product development and production operations activitiesMaintain a high level of 5S, making sure that all shop tools and equipment have a place and are in that placePerform all required daily, weekly, and annual maintenance on tool room machinesMaintain a safe shop environment ensuring that guards and warning signs are in place, there are no slipping or tripping hazards, etc.Performs other related duties as assignedSupervisory Duties and Responsibilities :

Required Education, Experience and Skills :
Graduate Apprentice with 4+ years of practical experience; orToolmaker / Machinist with 2+ years’ experience in tool making and repair work.Proven track record of delivering complex toolmaking projects from concept to completionStrong ability to apply advanced shop math (including trigonometry) and leverage hands-on experience with toolroom operations, production machines, and manufacturing processesPreferred Education, Experience and Skills :
3D CAD experience, preferably Autodesk InventorExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Being physically present and available at our Monroe locationProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesCompensation & Benefits
