DEPARTMENT NAME: Facilityand Grounds Maintenance
JOB SUMMARY (2-3 sentences): Performs the work of a generalmaintenance mechanic work as needed for the Board of Public Education.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: List, inthe order of time spent, the essential tasks performed by the position. Employees may be assigned additional dutiesby management as required:
Job Responsibility 1:
Maintains, repairs, and corrects all building components as assigned which may include but are not limited to 1) cubicles installation, relocation, and removal, 2) locker installation, relocation and removal, 3) metal fabrication, 4) fence installation and repairs, 5) tile repairs, 6) masonry related repairs
Job Responsibility 2:
Provides first line of response to facility maintenance needs to assure maximum operational effectiveness of the facility.
Job Responsibility 3:
Provides all required and appropriate documentation.

Requireshigh school diploma or GED.
LICENSES,CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED : “ Licenses,Certifications, and Registrations” refers to professional, state, or federallicenses, certifications, or registrations required to enter the position.
Requiresvalid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS : “ ExperienceRequirements” refers to the amount of work experience that is required forentry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that theperson can perform the tasks required by the position.
Twoto Three years’ experience in increasingly responsible general buildingmaintenance and grounds maintenance trade. Knowledge of the standard practices,tools and equipment of the general maintenance trade; landscaping, tree andshrubbery work; and applicable building codes is required.
Morespecific degree, certification, and experience requirements will be included inthe position announcement as vacancies occur.

Requiresheavy work involving exerting up to 100 pounds of force on a frequent basis andexceptional dexterity and skill in operating machinery, tools, or equipment.
