Light the Way Ministry is hiring : Graphic Designer in Springfield

We are seeking a Graphic Designer who brings creativity, vision, and excellence in design to our ministry. The right candidate will have strong experience in digital and print design, brand development, and creative storytelling. This role will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Marketing Department, and Donor & Partner Relations to produce impactful visual content that supports our ministry’s mission.

Note : This is not a position for someone whose primary design experience is limited to Canva or similar template-based platforms. We are looking for a designer with advanced creative and technical design skills who can conceptualize and build original, high-quality work that matches and elevates our brand.

Key Responsibilities Create and execute original graphics for digital campaigns, print materials, event signage, merchandise, and social media.

Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all platforms and events.

Work with the Creative Director to design promotional materials for festivals, concerts, donor initiatives, and special events.

Collaborate with the marketing and media teams to ensure visuals align with storytelling and campaign strategies.

Manage multiple design projects with tight deadlines, ensuring timely delivery and excellence.

Prepare files for both print and digital distribution, ensuring professional quality and accuracy

Qualifications Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio of original work.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other professional design software.

Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.

Experience designing for both digital platforms and print.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

Alignment with the mission and values of Light the Way Ministry.

Proficient in ProPresenter and / or Resolume 7

Strong knowledge of video editing, sound design, and visual storytelling

Experience with animations / motion graphics

Skilled in DSLR or mirrorless camera operation and video production equipment

Organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented

Flexible with travel and open to working nights / weekends during events

Must share the faith-based values and mission of Light the Way Ministry

Bonus : Experience in live events, concert photography, or ministry work.

Job Requirements Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a professional, fast-paced business or ministry office environment, preferably with an emphasis on creative communications and marketing responsibilities.

Attend church regularly.

Maintain a Christian outlook and attitude at all times.

Maintain loyalty to the ministry team and our partners, actively promoting unity within the ministry.
