Product Integrity Leader

This individual is a key leader within the retail organization, accountable for maintaining and enhancing product integrity programs that uphold the highest standards of pharmaceutical care across 9,000+ community pharmacy and 900+ MinuteClinic locations. The role involves leading a team of 67 professionals who conduct clinical assessments on potentially impacted drug products to ensure safe dispensing, while also driving innovative projects that improve patient safety and product quality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong independent leadership, inspire team performance, and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to influence decisions that prioritize patient safety and product integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership :
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of 67 professionals to consistently meet or exceed performance goals. Foster trust and engagement to achieve service level agreements (SLAs) for product assessments and inbox inquiries. Serve as the primary representative of the Product Integrity team, providing strategic updates to senior leadership. Oversee the integration and maintenance of drug stability data within clinical assessment processes.
Innovation & Strategic Advancement :
Continuously evaluate and improve product assessment and recovery processes for efficiency and cost savings, including automation and AI opportunities. Identify workflow enhancements to reduce patient recovery events and minimize impact. Mitigate over $30M in uninsured losses related to temperature excursion product damages. Guide store and field teams on patient outreach initiatives to ensure safety and product quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Partner with data science teams to leverage analytics for operational improvements. Act as the primary support for store teams, field leadership, and compliance partners during natural disasters and other extraordinary events. Build strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment on safety and quality priorities.
Required Qualifications :
Active pharmacy license. 5+ years of experience in retail pharmacy, product integrity, or a related field. Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and adjust priorities while meeting deadlines. Lead teams and drive performance. Collaborate across departments and influence strategic initiatives. Exercise independent judgment and confidently share expert opinions. Communicate effectively with executive presence. Use MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiently.
Preferred Qualifications :
Active pharmacy license. 7+ years of experience in retail pharmacy, product integrity, or a related field. Demonstrated excellence in multitasking and managing complex workstreams. Leading individuals and strategic initiatives. Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement. Strategic thinking and innovation. Executive-level communication and presentation skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Education :
Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.
Pay Range : $115,875.00 - $261,000.00
This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
