Job Description
As the Senior Accounting & Tax Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, organization, and delivery of accounting and tax services across multiple client engagements. You will oversee the daily operations of the tax services engagements and provide oversight of the end-to-end tax engagement process. This position bridges operational governance, project management, and process improvement within the tax team.
You will coordinate workflow, set priorities, and ensure timely completion of all accounting and tax deliverables for the CPA team for all tax services offered by KDG. This position will manage tax-related activities for all client acquisitions from the moment an agreement is signed through full integration, ensuring a smooth transition into ongoing tax operations.
In addition to client and staff coordination, you will be a key driver of process improvement—refining workflows and best practices to increase efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across the department.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is motivated by continuous improvement and excellence. A background in finance, accounting, tax, or team leadership is required, along with strong communication skills, organization, and confidentiality
Key responsibilities
- Oversight of Tax Acquisitions : Manage all administrative aspects of new tax client acquisitions from agreement creation through transition and integration into ongoing operations, coordinating across teams to ensure timelines, compliance, and client expectations are met.
- Process Improvement Governance : Identify and implement process enhancements across tax workflows, leveraging technology to streamline documentation, resource allocation, and project tracking. Continuously refine workflows and best practices to increase efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across the department.
- Workflow & Team Coordination : Coordinate a team of up to four CPAs, ensuring clear priorities, resource allocation, time tracking, and adherence to tax deadlines.
- File Organization & Documentation : Maintain well-organized and up-to-date tax preparation files, both physical and digital, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and easy access.
- Client Communication : Liason between CPA’s and clients; ensuring efficient, professional, and timely communication and coordination.
- Confidentiality & Professionalism : Handle all client information with integrity and discretion while maintaining a high standard of professionalism in all interactions.
- Attention to Detail : Maintain accuracy and completeness in all tasks, from data entry to reporting and project tracking.
- Compliance : Ensure all accounting and tax processes comply with current regulations, standards, and company policies.
Ad Hoc Projects, Write Up work, and Tax Return Data Entry : Proactively assist with additional projects and initiatives as assigned to assist CPA staff on tax client engagements, demonstrating flexibility and initiative
Requirements
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with direct client-facing responsibilities; multi-client experience preferred. Enrolled Agent preferred.
Education : Relevant degree or certification in accounting, finance, or related field.
Skills :

Physical Requirements
