Position Description
This role is focused on the governance of master data, execution of the master data function in support of business strategies, and the ongoing pursuit of improving processes to achieve greater efficiency and data quality. The function drives conformance to best practices through in-depth understanding of key data domains, with a strong focus on data governance. This role is within Refrescos North American Master Data team and reports to the Senior Manager of Master Data Management. The master data team owns responsibility for managing product, customer, customer pricing, vendor, and FICO master data domains for the North American Business Unit and any satellite units operating within the North American SAP instance. Key areas of focus include assessing the current state of master data practices, proposing solutions to improve creation, maintenance and governance of master data, supporting business strategies such as Buy and Build, and executing master data projects.
Essential Functions
- Lead the work activities and have full management responsibility for the performance and development of a team of Master Data Analysts.
- Participate in development and maintenance of the elements that make up a strong data governance program, such as policies, SOPs, data dictionaries, and master data controls.
- Provide transparent reporting and recommended actions to leaders whose teams input data for master data, to reduce data quality issues, non-value record maintenance, and process non-conformance.
- Identify solutions that improve data architecture, data quality, data maintenance processes, and business processes that produce master data; participate in the implementation of such solutions.
- Promote and advance SAP as the single version of the truth for master data.
- Develop understanding of Refrescos data domains and their integration points.
- Ensure SOX and process controls are adhered to by all team members through active monitoring and review of the teams work.
- Conduct root cause analysis for data quality issues by engaging technical and business teams to identify, sequence, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Establish, monitor, and assess master data policies and practices.
- Assist with the development and support execution of the MDM strategy.
- Support development of a process to audit and measure the efficiency and quality of the MDM maintenance process.
- Identify and manage data cleanup projects to improve data accuracy.

Bachelors degree (or significant relevant work experience) and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.Experience working on an MDM team across multiple data domains (highly preferred).Exposure to the business functions of a manufacturing enterprise from a finance, supply chain, or business analysis perspective.Experience maintaining multiple SAP data domain masters (highly preferred).Strong understanding of how data is used for reporting and transactional activities.Project management experience leading cross-functional projects.Experience as a technical business user of FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, or WM modules of SAP (highly preferred).Experience with defining, writing and implementing business processes and data standards in one or more data domains : material, customer, asset, production, or vendor.Bachelors or Masters in Accounting, Decision Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Financial Enterprise Systems, or similar field preferred.Knowledge of different types of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex technical matters and convey them to stakeholders.Certification preferred includes CPA, Six Sigma, PMP, or similar.Working Conditions
