Knowledge and Experience :
- 5+ years of proven experience as Payroll Manager
- UltiPro and Workforce management experience strongly preferred
- Multi-state payroll, benefits and tax knowledge required
- Experience dealing with Union payroll processing required
- Experience working in a collaborative environment
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred
- Accounting or Business Degree is preferred

Strategy and Governance :
Coordinates with the broader payroll, time & attendance, and finance teamsHigh level of expected collaboration across all departments and peersAbility to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and maintain highest level of company standardsBusiness Processes :
Oversee and direct all payroll processing and proceduresIdentify and lead process improvements for process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments)Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises, bonuses, etc) and system upgradesEnsure compliance and serve as a subject matter expert on all applicable laws and payroll tax obligationsSupervise and mentor staff as neededLiaise with auditors and manage payroll tax auditsHigh level of expected collaboration with Human Resources and accountants across all divisionsMaintain accurate records and prepare reportsResolve issues and answer payroll-related questionsProvide timely reporting as needed and other ad hoc projectsPayroll System Projects :
Lead initiatives and system projects for assigned locationsCollaborate with project teams, partnering with external and internal stakeholdersAdditional Statements :
