Community Manager
Asset Living is a third‑party management firm founded in 1986 that delivers exceptional value to partners and fosters thriving communities nationwide.
The Community Manager oversees all phases of housing community operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial administration, and risk management, and ensures compliance with Asset Living policies, fair housing guidelines, and safety requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management – screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on‑site staff; complete staff schedules and assignments; address performance issues; promote staff harmony and effectiveness.
- Financial Management – achieve operating income through cost control and revenue improvement; develop yearly budgets and forecasts; monitor rent collections, vendor invoices, and financial reporting.
- Strategic Leasing – develop marketing plans; execute leasing techniques to obtain lease closures, follow‑up, and accurate documentation; respond to resident complaints and implement retention programs.
- Administrative & Maintenance – submit accurate administrative and leasing reports; lead emergency response; manage maintenance service request turnaround; maintain property appearance and repair completion; manage property resources and construction oversight.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years of housing industry experience.Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.Basic computer skills and understanding of on‑site software functions.Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.Physical & Practical Requirements
Work overtime, weekends, and night hours (emergencies); move among work sites; lift up to 25 lbs; operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles or golf carts; perform tasks in various environmental conditions.Reliably available for emergency on‑call duties.Salary Range
Hourly : $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
Full‑time : $28,000.00 to $30,000.00 per year
