The Clinical Medical Officer plays a crucial role in overseeing our primary care providers (PCPs) at the assigned center. You will be held accountable for enhancing clinical quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes while also managing clinician satisfaction. In this dual role, you will spend part of your time providing direct patient care and the remainder on leadership responsibilities focusing on performance and engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, particularly among older adults.
- Take responsibility for patient outcomes, ensuring collaboration with specialists as necessary.
- Coordinate with hospitalists for all patients hospitalized, ensuring continuous patient involvement.
- Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with complex health needs.
- Lead your care team, consisting of dedicated professionals like medical assistants and care coordinators.
- Engage with transitional care teams for patients unable to visit the office, liaising with case managers and other resources as needed.
- Facilitate weekly Super Huddle meetings and Transforming Care Meetings, providing guidance and support to center management.
- Actively engage in center management, including patient recruitment and assisting in interviews for new providers.
- Mentor and coach PCPs to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes, participating in daily team huddles.
- Collaborate closely with Center Operations Directors to enhance financial performance and boost membership.
- Perform additional assigned duties as directed by management.
Qualifications :
MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty.Must possess an active state medical license.A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric, adult, or family practice setting preferred.Board certification in your specialty is preferred; eligibility is required.Current DEA number for controlled substances is necessary.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 90 days of employment.Compensation :
The salary range for this position is $231,876 - $331,251.
