Overview

The Monadnock Ledger-Transcript is hiring a motivated, community-minded Editor to help lead our award-winning newsroom serving the Monadnock region of New Hampshire. You’ll guide daily coverage, elevate enterprise reporting, and collaborate with a small, talented team using modern print and digital tools. We publish twice weekly in print and update our website throughout the week.

What You’ll Do

• Shape coverage : Plan and edit daily stories; set priorities and keep the content calendar on track.
• Elevate reporting : Coach reporters, polish copy, sharpen headlines, and uphold standards for accuracy, fairness, and clarity.
• Own key moments : Lead in-depth packages on elections, town meeting season, schools, business, and community issues.
• Drive digital : Post to web, write alerts, and collaborate on infographics, photo galleries, and simple interactives.
• Reporting : Jump on breaking news and produce weekly news / feature bylines.
