Overview
Our client, a national leader in door hardware and security distribution, is seeking a high-performing Regional Sales Director to lead their growth strategy across the West Coast. This role is responsible for managing a team of field sales professionals, driving revenue across commercial, institutional, and integrator channels, and expanding market share for both mechanical and electronic security solutions. What You'll Do
- Lead and coach a high-performing regional sales team, providing direction, support, and accountability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with national goals, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and wallet share growth.
- Build strong relationships with key clients, channel partners, and manufacturers across the Western U.S.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and guide sales initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent across the region.
- Regularly report on pipeline, performance metrics, and strategic insights to executive leadership.
- Travel regionally to meet with team members, clients, and attend industry events (approx. 50-70%).
What You'll Need
7-10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role; industry experience in hardware, security, distribution, or building products strongly preferred.Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and leading distributed teams in a multi-state territory.Deep understanding of channel dynamics, including working with dealers, integrators, and OEMs.Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and ability to turn strategy into execution.Excellent communication, coaching, and people leadership skills.Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales management.Based on the West Coast or willing to travel extensively throughout the region.Why This Role
