As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional plant staff and overseeing all activities related to manufacturing operations.
This involves directing a diverse team and managing all manufacturing activities at the plant, including procurement, materials management, maintenance, tooling, manufacturing engineering, production scheduling, planning, warehouse operations, quality assurance, and ensuring plant operations safety.
As the plant manager, you lead a diverse staff and oversee all manufacturing operations.
This entails supervising a diverse team and overseeing all manufacturing operations for the facility, including procurement, inventory management, equipment maintenance, tooling, manufacturing engineering, production scheduling, planning, warehouse management, quality control, and ensuring plant safety.
You will motivate the staff to achieve results aligned with the company's business strategy and operational goals. These goals emphasize safety, health, environment, quality, lead time, delivery, productivity, and resource / asset utilization, including inventory and employee development.
The Plant Manager will implement a culture of continuous improvement (lean) through visual management boards and Kaizen events.
They will also develop a safety culture that aligns with organizational targets. Additionally, the manager will oversee the organization to ensure operational excellence and the accomplishment of organizational strategy and goals.
As the Plant Manager, you will report to the Vice President and General Manager. This position is located just south of the Minneapolis / St.
Paul, MN area, requires some travel (up to 10-15%).
The position reports to direct managers or supervisors and oversees the plant's direct labor. This role involves working closely with plant teams, communicating across regions with all levels of the organization and with customers and suppliers.
It also requires the ability to work in teams worldwide.

Experience In the following :
- Experience in plant management for at least two (2) years is preferred.
- Requires a minimum of five (5) years of operational experience in industrial manufacturing (manufacturing engineering, machining, and assembly areas will be a real advantage).
- Successful track record of achieving growth and profitability targets in operation, including reducing direct / indirect costs while increasing operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Experience in managing a diverse manufacturing background, ideally having worked in a high-mix, low-volume environment with both machining and assembly.
Preferred experience in a strong production scheduling background.
- Expert-level knowledge in general operations, lean manufacturing, and safety processes.
- Experience managing a plant or Value Stream / Manufacturing / Operations Manager for a plant that machined, fabricated, and assembled industrial components.
- Experience and education in Lean Manufacturing, TPS, 5 S, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and Theory of Constraints.
- Extensive experience with manufacturing process improvement, including budget management, facility enhancement, and improvement, Total Cycle Time reduction principles, lead time reduction, workflow / layout enhancement program and capacity management planning, and Target Costing.
- Diverse functional experience within operations, including manufacturing, engineering, materials management, supply chain, quality, etc.

Education and Certification Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree required in Operations Management, Engineering, or other related field
