Sulpizio 3B PCU (Scvc 3B) Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit

The RN delivers direct, hands on care to critically ill cardiology patients on our 15 bed Progressive Care Unit. Utilizing the nursing process in a clinic style environment, the nurse :

• Assesses and monitors patients with advanced cardiology interventions-such as post angioplasty, pacemakers, CABG, vascular revascularization, and balloon pulmonary angioplasty.
• Develops, implements, and adjusts individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and under physician oversight.
• Educates patients and families to promote self-care, understanding of their condition, and treatment adherence.
• Manages and maintains clinic equipment, ensuring all supplies are organized and readily available.
• Handles complex, high acuity cases requiring advanced clinical skills and vigilant monitoring.
• Operates within a nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 3 or 1 : 4, with continuous 24 hour physician coverage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.

RN license issued by the State of California.

BLS / CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.

Two years of recent acute care RN experience in Cardiac Progressive Care. Resume to demonstrate care with General Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Interventional, and Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Demonstrates critical nursing thinking and clinical skills in cardiac population to identify and implement nursing interventions and evaluate results.

Must have proven interpersonal communication skills, decision making, problem solving and prioritizing skills.

Ability to demonstrate individualized care to vulnerable populations.

Ability to critically handles unexpected challenges in a progressive care setting and creates plausible solutions in a team-centered environment.

Must have excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.

Demonstrates participation in shared governance committees or equivalent.

Annual Full Pay Range : $131,335 - $184,078 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent : $62.90 - $88.16
