Design AND Release Engineer (Dearborn)

Insight Global is looking for a Design & Release Engineer in the Dearborn, Michigan area. The D&R Engineer will be working on a small team involved in software coding and application development. This role will combine electrical, software, vehicle level system performance, and program management.

Other Responsibilities Include :

• Engineer electronic control module software
• Evaluate program definition by working with platform systems and feature teams to determine content and market variations
• Lead statement of work / RFQ package completion in conjunction with hardware engineers
• Communicate with electrical team and support program increment software development and program milestone delivery
• Manager JIRA Epics and Stories to support Sagas and program increment deliveries
• Manage JIRA stories status and progress through the sprint board
• Manage software interface definition between suppliers and requirements in JAMA
• Conduct design reviews with interfacing Ford activities and supplier engineering
• Lead program specific software Failure Mode Avoidance (DFMEA)
• Lead traceability evidence from suppliers to demonstrate linkage of specifications, requirements breakdowns, and test cases to DFMEA controls for safety related items
• Lead software release process and software change management
• Manage engineering changes via JIRA, DCRs, cost approval, and software releases in JFROG
• Provide vehicle build support (ex. Software release package, configurations, BreadBoards, HIL, Development builds, Pilot builds, etc.)
• Lead supplier activities to diagnose bugs, determine root cause, resolution, and verification
• Perform customer acceptance testing
• Lead software quality / warranty analysis and corrective actions
