Chief Operating Officer Driver
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the driver acts as personal chauffeur and confidential attendant to the COO in the conduct of official business. In addition, the driver may occasionally drive other high-level executive staff. Additional responsibilities include :
1. Work closely with the COO Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or other designated staff, to ensure timely transport; maintain schedule and itinerary and serve as a logistics aide.
2. Maintain confidentiality of conversations, mobile telephone calls, and other matters of a confidential nature.
3. Operate one or more types of motor vehicles such as passenger car or van.
4. Perform general vehicle maintenance including through coordination with Fleet Services to ensure stability of tires, oil and fuel of the vehicle, replenish fluids as needed, and check the vehicle to see that lights, horn and brakes appear to be operating properly.
5. Report any noticeable mechanical defects in the vehicle.
6. Maintain a clean and sanitary vehicle; clean the windows and interior and exterior of the vehicle.
7. Assist in loading and unloading of materials, equipment, and passengers.
8. When not driving, may be required to perform such additional duties as running errands, answering phones and delivering mail and / or small packages.
NOTE : Completion and Certification of the Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) is expected within 3 months of hire.

Education and Experience Requirements : There are no formal education or experience requirements. Driver License Requirement : By the time you are appointed to this position, you must have a motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York. If you have moving violations, license suspension(s) or an accident record, you may be disqualified. This license must be maintained for the duration of your employment.
