Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for a part time Consierge in our Skilled Nursing Department. Thursday / Friday / Saturday / Sunday : 4 : 00pm to 8 : 00pm shift. As a Consierge you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our residents, their families and visitors within our Skilled Nursing department.
Responsibilities :
- Greeting and assisting residents, coordinating transportation services, managing incoming calls, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Facilitate activities and events to enhance resident engagement.
- Make daily rounds of the reception area to assure that reception personnel are performing required duties and to assure that appropriate reception procedures are being followed (if applicable).
- Answer the telephone promptly and politely, screen all incoming calls according to facility policy. Take messages and relay them promptly to the proper individual.
- Greet and direct all visitors to sign in.
- Type, file, copy materials and maintain all files, records equipment, and supply items as assigned.
- Prepare reports, assignments and correspondence as needed and directed by Administrator.
- Receive, sort, direct mail, and fax / scan information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Screen all incoming calls according to facility policy and route them to the appropriat department or individual.
- Coordinate transportation services for residents as needed. ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services for residents.
- Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, including appropriate dress code.
Qualifications :
Must be able to work with ill, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.Must maintain confidentiality of information.Must be highly organized and detail-orientated.Able to remain calm and respond appropriately and in a timely manner to emergency situations.Education :
High School Diploma requiredExperience :
Two years work experience that includes meeting public, answering phones and providing customer service.Experience in working with older adults preferred.Proficiency with basic computer word processing and Outlook preferred.
