Summary :

We are currently seeking a full time Professional Civil Engineer to support our Commercial Business. The primary responsibility will be design review of RedBuilt shop drawings and joist / truss designs which are prepared for our commercial construction materials business. The Professional Engineer will also be responsible for leadership and to provide training guidance to designers, EITs and a technical sales force. Secondary responsibilities may include development and implementation of design methodologies, code evaluation approvals and implementation of the Quality Management System.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications) :

• Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a team environment to deliver for our customers.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Experience in Structural or Civil Engineering required.
• Experience with Engineered Wood Products and a general knowledge of wood construction a plus.
• Must be computer literate including EXCEL and WORD. Experience with Revit or the willingness to quickly learn a plus.
• Must have excellent written and oral skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, sales associates and the technical team.
• Must be able to provide design assistance to design professionals, builders, building inspectors, and sales associates.
• Manufacturing and product application knowledge is desirable.
