Application Engineer (Hillsboro)

We are seeking an experienced Focused Ion Beam (FIB) Application Engineer to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. This is an opportunity to fill a critical role, and we need someone who can step in quickly to maintain our high standards. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work schedule, primarily at the customer site. There may be local travel (80%) with occasional international trips (5%), including potential training sessions in Japan lasting 1-2 weeks.

1. Operate as an expert at customer sites

Engage in recipe creation and modification, providing technical assistance tailored to customer requirements.

2. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external clients, maintaining a balance between both interactions.

3. Prepare presentations based on existing product materials and develop scripts for new applications as needed.

1. Experience in the semiconductor industry.

2. Knowledge of Focused Ion Beam FIB / SEM applications in an industrial setting.

3. Basic understanding of Python programming and scripting and strong proficiency in computer applications.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Focused Ion Beam (FIB).
• Proficiency in Failure Analysis using metrology and inspection systems.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or STEM related field.
