Coordinates and supervises all site construction operational activities (including field and subcontractor personnel) to successfully complete projects of high quality in a timely and efficient manner.? Discusses and incorporates any change directives to original plans and specifications to meet or exceed client satisfaction. ??Maintains the safety and security of the job site office and closes out quality construction projects.? Reports to Vice President of Field Operations.
Essential Job Functions and Expectations :
- Establishes staging plans and manages site logistics and workflow.
- Reviews subcontractor scopes of work, submittals and invoices and provides feedback to Project Manager for compliance and coordination.
- Assists Project Manager in job cost reporting and budget control.
- Collaborates with Project Manager in maintaining and updating construction schedules to identify and solve problems in pre-construction meetings prior to mobilization.
- Prepares daily reports, safety reports, schedules and supervises completion of final punch lists.
- Orders materials and schedules inspections as required or needed.
- Assists with recruiting and hiring needs. Trains field crew members, project engineers and junior superintendents and conducts safety orientations.
- Promotes job site safety and ensures employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy and regulatory requirements. Rectifies any job site hazards immediately.?
- Conducts weekly safety and progress meetings.
- Maintains a clean, organized job site at all times including the construction office.
- Performs other job duties as assigned and / or required.
Requirements :
Qualifications and Requirements :
7-10 years’ experience as a Superintendent or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field.Knowledge and experience in field supervision, quality control, scheduling, ordering, safety and production throughout all phases of the construction process is required.OSHA 3O - Hour Construction Training preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.Experience with Procore preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and basic mathematical skills.Must be a self-driven team player and able to multi-task and switch gears in a fast-paced environment while maintaining and fostering a positive attitude with others.Maintains a positive relationship with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation and willingness to travel.Physical Requirements and Working Environment :
Must be able to lift, reach, bend, exert force, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. May require sitting, standing, or walking for an extended period of time indoors and / or outdoors.? Ability to adapt in a stressful work environment and handle loud noise levels.? Operates standing office equipment, such as computer, printer, copier, etc. as well as tools and equipment on construction job sites.?
