Medical Insurance Billing Specialist

Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Billing Specialist for a temp to direct hire position location in Stony Brook area, specializing in medical billing. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in claims processing, denial management, and insurance follow-up, with a strong background in orthopedic billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and file insurance claims, including Medicare / Medicaid and managed care
• Post and monitor patient and insurance payments
• Conduct insurance follow-up calls on denied claims; resubmit and track until resolved
• Maintain accurate billing records, reports, and files
• Collaborate with billing team to ensure timely claim resolution
